Independent. Neutral. Mission-critical.
The Global Peace & Religious Freedom Observatory (GPRFO) is an independent, non-profit foundation dedicated to making insurgency and religious persecution predictable and preventable worldwide.
We are not a government. We are not a religious denomination. We are neutral infrastructure — like the ICRC for data — but for conflict early warning.
GPRFO was founded in 2026 in Nigeria, the epicenter of both modern insurgency and religious persecution, to prove that data can save lives in the hardest places first.
"We measure conflict to prevent it. We track persecution to end it. We build data infrastructure because lives depend on it."
— GPRFO Founding Charter, 2026
Three principles that set GPRFO apart from every other conflict observatory.
We track attacks on all faiths. Our data is used by mosques, churches, and temples. Truth has no religion.
200+ agents in high-risk LGAs provide ground truth no satellite can. We verify with bishops and imams alike.
Our protocol cuts the time from attack to international alert from 5 days to 60 minutes.
GPRFO protects mosques, churches, temples, and all places of worship. Our data is used by diverse faith communities because truth has no religion.
"These worshippers continue to practice their faith despite having their mosque burned. GPRFO documents their resilience and tracks the perpetrators."
GPRFO is led by conflict analysts, former diplomats, and data scientists from Nigeria, the US, and the UK.
We are headquartered in Abuja, Nigeria with field analysts across the Sahel.
